A small project I took on besides my studies of Graphic Design at Central TAFE. A family member was starting up a new business called Alluvium Software—a software consulting business for the mining industry. The name Alluvium referred to the segments of pure gold that separates from the rock and floats to the top where it can be used, this also symbolising the data that would also be viable. The logo needed to represent these meanings and branding across all stationery, as a starter package for the new business.
My concept was bringing to life the gold data elements and making them look like they have floated to the top with use of stylised symbol besides the main type. Colours helped make the logo stand out and pop off the page whilst representing the gold and mining twist colour variation.
